Blueberry picking!!

Well, we picked quite the day to go blueberry picking....90 degrees, humid, and blazing sun at noon. You enjoyed it none the less and were passed out again on the car ride home! It sure is fun having Auntie Jenn on school vacation!

Fun in the sun!

Since you are napping and I am feeling unproductive I decided I would update your blog! I could be doing the dishes, or one of the loads of laundry that is starting to pile up, but that can wait until I get a second burst of energy! It's only 2 o'clock in the afternoon and we've already had a full day of fun. We went to the beach this morning with Auntie Jenn and Uncle Derek. Hope you enjoy the pictures from our day! All that fresh air knocked you out. You've been asleep since we got home.

Sunday Fundays!

I live for days like today! It's the only day all week we can actually relax as a family and do nothing at all. Sleep in...enjoy breakfast in bed, and the aroma of french vanilla coffee brewing downstairs. Sit on the deck in my pajamas with my coffee and read my new book "twenties girl" I finally decide to take a long shower and make myself presentable to spend the day at the spa....ahhh wouldn't that be nice?! mmm yeah thats not happening, at least for another 18 years. Mommy and Daddy's days of sleeping in have been long gone. A girl can still dream though....right?
Our Sundays usually begin around 7 am, this Sunday you did let us sleep til about 7:30! We really did have a perfect day though, better than that made up story of sleeping in and spa time. (really, I wouldnt trade my days with you for any day at the spa!) Instead we went for a run, a 5 mile run. For some reason Daddy thinks its ok to make Mommy go running at 8 am before she even gets a cup of coffee and try to push her to run the whole 5 miles! I'm sorry you had to witness me yelling at Daddy today, but really, 5 miles on an empty stomach and no coffee equals a grouchy Mommy! When all is said and done though, I'm so proud of myself for running as long as I did and for some reason I guess I should probably send a shout out Thank you to Daddy. Olivia its almost as if you know you have to help Mommy out here too. You didn't cry once while sitting in your carriage, you really enjoyed looking at the trees and watching the birds as Daddy dodged the washed out running trail trying not to give you an uncomfortable ride! Hopefully pretty soon you and Daddy will be waiting at the finish line of Mommy's very first race! All in all today was a great day! We saw Bridget, Auntie Jenny, Uncle Derek, Grammy and Granpa! You were so good, laughing smiling and being your normal fun self! No fussing at dinner or at bedtime! What a great day we had with you. xox

Blog Makeover, Mommy Makeover!

The blog got a makeover thanks to Jumpingjaxdesigns! it was in desperate need of something and I love love love the new layout and colors! Becca rocks at what she does. Olivia you will probably hate pink when you are older and you have Mommy to thank for that!
So in the middle of being a mommy, a wifey, a chef(not to toot my own horn...but toot toot), taxi driver, and your biggest fan Mommy decided to train to run a half marathon. Well lets take things slow, right now I am training to run a 5k, then a 10k, and if all falls into place a half marathon....13.1 miles next November. I am the first to admit I am by no means a runner. Ha, I was that kid in gym class that would "forget" their gym clothes on a weekly basis especially on days that we had to RUN THE MILE! Yes I said THE meaning one. But hey give me some credit, I've changed and become more active now than I was than! I feel confident in this goal since I have given myself plenty of time to train. With a runner like Daddy in the family he better not let me fail at this! We actually ran (When I say you ran, I mean you enjoyed sitting in the carriage while Daddy pushed you) around winnikinni as a family just the other day so I am off to a great start! I've been running at least every other day using the couch to 5k as guidance. All this training has gotten Mommy to eat much healthier foods and even lose 6 pounds so far! I already have a lot more energy to chase you around and since you will be walking any day now I am sure going to need all the energy I can get!
